Kids have plenty to do, too: Club Mongoose is free for ages 2-12, and the Jamrock Teen Center takes care of the older ones. Activities
At Sunset Jamaica Grande, you’ll find hidden lounge chairs and quiet beach spots to while away the hours doing nothing at all—but, just in case, we offer tons of fun things to do, too! Pick from five pools replete with plunge pools, waterfalls, a meandering river, hot tubs and the fabulous Lighthouse Waterslide. Join a volleyball game on the 1,300-foot private white-sand beach or pick from a variety of non-motorized water sports including kayaks, water bikes and water trampolines. Work out at our full-service gym. Play a game of tennis, or head off-site for golf, horseback riding, polo or river rafting. Shop at the resort or head for the duty-free stores in the local craft market, just a five-minute from the resort. Dance the night away at the club or hit the electronic blackjack or slot machines. Kids keep busy, too, with Club Mongoose activities all day long!

Lighthouse Waterpark
The Lighthouse Waterslide It’s an exciting addition to our five lavish pools, a meandering river, waterfalls, plunge pools, hot tubs, two swim-up bars and swaying rope-bridge. The slide is designed like a traditional lighthouse: impressively statuesque, guests climb an enclosed spiral staircase 60 feet up to an observation desk with an awe-inspiring, 360-degree panoramic view over the Caribbean Sea and the entire resort complex. Two separate, full body water slides—one enclosed and one open, each over 300 feet in length—twist and turn around the lighthouse for a shooting good time. Guests zoom down to splash in one of the resort’s swimming pools or directly into the ocean. The lower level of the Lighthouse includes an air-conditioned arcade featuring a variety of video games.

Tennis
Hone your game with or without the help of our on-site tennis pros on our two championship courts. Both have floodlights for night games.

Fitness Factory
Our air-conditioned ocean-view fitness center will help you stay in beach-ready shape with state-of-the-art Cybex exercise equipment, aerobics classes and free weights.

Beach and Water Sports
With 13,000 feet of white sand beach, there’s no shortage of fun under the sun! All non-motorized water sports are included in your stay: try snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters, kayaking across the waves, windsurfing to the breeze or paddling around on water bikes. You can also check out the on-site sports center and make reservations for scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, waterskiing, jet skiing and more (not included in the all-inclusive vacation price.)

Gaming Room/Casino
Over 21? Enjoy late-night fun and excitement at the Sunset Jamaica Grande Casino, filled with 80 of the latest in gaming including electronic blackjack and slot machines. The Casino is open from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Aqua Azul Spa
The new Aqua Azul Spa draws inspiration from the majestic Jamaica Blue Mountains and the clear Caribbean Sea. Place yourself in the hands of our highly trained therapists and indulge in a variety of massage techniques including Thai, Swedish, aromatherapy, reflexology, hot stone and sports massage. Add to your glow with an Uplifting Body Scrub or a cleansing facial treatments. We also offer pampering packages, including the “Reggae Retreat” package, featuring a manicure, pedicure and 30-minute massage. The “Rasta Delight” option adds in a mini facial. Spa facilities include three wet rooms for hydrotherapy treatments; a single and two couples’ massage rooms; two facial rooms and separate sauna and steam facilities for men and women. The salon offers hair and make-up services, as well we manicure and pedicure treatments. The spa is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Spa services are not included in the all-inclusive vacation price.)

Family Travel
Our resort is all-inclusive, which means the entire family is included! There’s plenty to do from dawn till dusk—and even beyond, as our weekly themed parties are fun for everyone. Our beachside pool complex is big and boisterous, and with the addition of our new Lighthouse Waterslide there’s even more excitement to be shared. Scheduled activities at Club Mongoose and the Jamrock Teen Center make sure there’s never a dull moment. At night, the Jam Down Pavillion is hopping with finger-snapping reggae tunes. Parents can also take advantage on on-site babysitting services to enjoy couple-time.

Club Mongoose
Made especially for kids ages 2-12, Club Mongoose keeps kids stimulated and entertained with everything from reggae classes and clowning to arts and crafts, nature walks and picnics. Local Jamaican children are invited to participate, making for some amazing cultural exchanges and future pen pals. The playground is colorful, safe and secure, and includes a kids’ pool with a water squirter, state and ice cream and juice bar for the little ones. Lunch and dinner are included with kid-friendly menus. The club is supervised at all times with a well-trained staff.

Jamrock Teen Center
Teens need their own hangout, and they’ll find plenty to keep them occupied at the Jamrock Teen Center. Reggae music fills the air at the clubhouse, filled with arcade games and pool tables. All kids also have access to tennis, basketball, shuffleboard and table tennis.

Stop by the Sunset Jamaica Grande tour desk to set up tours to the many extravagant attractions offered by Ocho Rios. In fact, it’s home to Jamaica’s most famous landmark: Dunn’s River Falls, with its 600-foot cascades, limestone caverns and freshwater estuaries is just minutes from the resort. Other fun activities include visits to the Coyaba Gardens and Mahoe Falls (don’t forget to take a dip in the pool at the bottom), the Shaw Park Botanical Gardens, Columbus Park, a horseback ride through River Valley, whitewater rafting down the Martha Brae River or zip-lining through the rainforest canopy at Mystic Mountain or choose to take a thrilling ride down the Bobsled Jamaica, a tour of Prospect Plantation, a walk through the Cranbrook Flower Forest… The possibilities are endless!

Mini-Golf
The sun is shining, the sky is blue and the gently rolling green hills of the mini golf course are calling your name. Challenge each other across its perfectly manicured nine holes. The winner gets to pick their favorite restaurant for dinner—we’ll take care of the tab. The course is open from 10 a.m. for 6 p.m.
